"2016: Obama's America" Movie Out in DVD October 16, 2012

Dinesh D'Souza's documentary movie 2016: Obama's America will be out in DVD on October 16, 2012.

I recommend you watch it if you haven't done so at the theater, where it has broken records for documentary attendance (and dollars) for a documentary.

It explains some things about Obama's policies and proclamations that even his Left-Wing ideology does not explain, through what D'Souza sees as "anti-colonialism".  In Obama's case, this takes the form of seeing the United States as a big bad imperialistic nation that needs to be cut down to size economically, militarily, religiously, etc.

Based on D'Souza's book The Root Of Obama's Rage, the movie has now in turn been made into another book by D'Souza, Obama's America: Unmaking the American Dream.

Some more insight is given in a New York Times review and interview by Stanley Fish.  While the interview is not particularly favorable to the movie, Fish is fair in giving the follow-up interview with D'Souza, which is quite informative.

Good reading.  And don't miss the movie.

More On The September Unemployment Rate From Jack Welch

Former CEO of GE, Jack Welch, after the September unemployment rate was reported at 7.8%, down significantly from the month before, and the lowest in over 43 months, tweeted this:

"Unbelievable jobs numbers..these Chicago guys will do anything..can't debate so change numbers."

He caught all kinds of flak for his suspicions, but has not backed off.  Here's his explantation in the Wall Street Journal this morning:

Jobs Stagnation Numbers

The September unemployment rate came in at 7.8% and people are downright excited.

I hardly ever like to dampen the excitement of an excited person, but there are so many indicators that indicate that Obama's programs have simply not turned the economy around.

The jobs picture is still in a horrid stagnation, and Obama either doesn't KNOW how to reverse it, or he has other priorities and agendas.

Here are some facts:

1. The average number of jobs created last year (2011) was 153,000 per month (compared to around 275,000 per month under Reagan's recovery).

2. The average number of jobs created THIS year (2012) is 146,000 per month, less than the year before!

3. Yet September only created 114,000, less than the years average! And September is the month all those folks are excited about!

4. If labor participation was where it was when Obama inherited it from Bush, the unemployment would be closer to 11%.

5. Part-time jobs jumped up to 8,613,000 -- a 582,000 increase in September, the biggest one-month jump since February of 2009. So the quality of jobs people are finding is dropping.

If you're still excited at 7.8% unemployment for September, well...I admire your optimism, but please vote for Romney anyway, because he is more likely to put into place economic policy that will end the stagnation.

My Two Favorite Lines From The First Debate

2. Romney: "Mr. President, you're entitled as the president to your own airplane and to your own house, but not to your own facts." (referring to Obama's mis-representing of Romney's economic plans)

1. Romney: "I had a friend who said you don't just pick the winners and losers, you pick the losers." (referring to Obama's crony capitalism of giving loans or tax breaks to certain pro-Obama corporations, especially "green" ones, who were bad risks and/or went belly up)

Sidenote: If you honestly think Obama won the first debate, don't admit it or people will think you're foolish.  And they would be right, of course :)

The Best I've Every Read Re Voting For "The Lesser Of Two Evils"

If you are planning on voting for someone who you know ahead of time can't win (third party, fourth party, etc.), or if you are planning to not vote at all, please read this excellent article by Dan Phillips:

(I always say that one should vote without violating their conscience, but I also believe in an INFORMED conscience, that is, one which is guided by truth, wisdom, and biblical understanding.)

If You Are A Christian Even Thinking About Voting For Obama, Please Listen To 5 Minutes From John MacArthur

Pastor John MacArthur from Grace Community Church in California virtually never talks "politics", because as a Bible teacher he doesn't want to distract from his primary calling, that of teaching and preaching the Word of God.

Yet even he can't let slide the horror which is the "platform" of the Democratic Party, which I touched on somewhat here (http://romney-v-obama.blogspot.com/2012/09/cheering-for-holocaust-of-unborn.html).

As MacArthur points out, this isn't politics, this is a platform of Romans Chapter 1 "depravity" exalted as "good".

Here are two clips, 4 minutes and 1 minutes, from MacArthur that I pray will shame a few Christians, black or white, who would vote for the man who:

1. Voted as State Senator of Illinois to demand that a baby fully born after a failed abortion be set aside untouched to die, in addition to supporting the holocaust of the unborn, including "partial birth abortion".

2. After being elected as favoring marriage only between a man and woman, "evolved" to support same-sex marriage. God forbid what his further "evolution" entails.

Anyway, here's MacArthur clip #1: http://www.gty.org/media/audioblog/AB_90-448_1.mp3

Here's clip #2: http://www.gty.org/media/audioblog/AB_90-449_1.mp3
